ALSO bonus online-only party Tuesday December 16
It is time for our annual Holiday Party! Mark your calendars for Saturday December 13th at 6pm. The doors will open at 5:30pm (note earlier time!) -- feel free to come a little early and help us set up.
It's also that time of the year for colds and flu (not to mention COVID), so if you feel at all sick, please stay home (and join the rest of us the following Tuesday online)!
We will be holding the party in the Student Union Building, in the same room as the last three years, the Fireside Room, 315 West Bertona St, Seattle, WA 98119.
We will have a potluck dinner, for which the club provides ham and rotisserie chickens, drinks, paper plates and plastic utensils. PLEASE bring a dish to share, sweet or savory … Your choice.
If you would like to participate in the White Elephant gift exchange, bring a gift-wrapped, fish themed item and see what you can take home. (Value ~$10-$15)
We’ll also play FISHO … a roaring game of fishy themed bingo where you can win great prizes.
Jennifer, our HAP chairperson, will award prizes to the most accomplished plant geeks. Leslie, the HAP chair, cannot make it, but will be at the online party (see below).
We hope to see you there, and bring the family!! If you could drop me a line at info@gsas.org to let me know you are coming and how many will be in your party, that would be very much appreciated! We want to make sure to have enough utensils, drinks and ham/chicken for all!
NEW FOR 2025: Online-only Party! Whether or not you can make it to our big in-person party on Saturday, join us over Zoom the following Tuesday, December 16, 7PM Pacific Time for a completely separate online holiday party with its own FISHO game and completely separate prizes (hopefully) redeemable online! This is a great chance to catch up with members who have moved away from the Puget Sound region too. All members will get access to the Zoom link and enough FISHO cards for the whole family to play by clicking the button:
