Gary Lange: “Everything You Wanted to Know About Rainbowfish (But Were Afraid to Ask)”
Both meetings at SPU, Otto Miller Hall Room 109

The Greater Seattle Aquarium Society (gsas.org) is pleased to be kicking off our 2025-2026 season with a perennial favorite of our club members Gary Lange. Gary (fish explorer, author, and master breeder) will be doing two talks for our club.

At our regular club meeting Saturday, September 13th, Gary’s talk will be “Everything You Wanted to Know About Rainbowfish (But Were Afraid to Ask),” which Gary says will cover “How to keep them happy, all about Rainbowfish Sex, how to raise the fry and how to keep your fish pure and uncrossed! I’ll go over some of my techniques.”

We also have a special bonus meeting the evening before - on Friday, September 12th at 7:00 PM at the same location, where his talk will be “Exploring Yapen Island, Waropen and one more visit to the Wapoga”, and details his 8th trip to Papua in search of new and rare species. He’ll also spend a few minutes discussing a trip to Australia, and the 2024 IRG rainbowfish conference in Germany and the new rainbowfish from that visit.

Gary will have his famous Rainbowfish egg kits to auction, at both meetings!

After the main presentation, stay for the Monthly Auction (sellers, pre-register your stuff here).
